I just had a very interesting conversation with a business owner about marketing. He was saying that he has achieved a first page, first position on google for his keywords, but has not gotten the anticipated business.
He threw his hands in the air in frustration. What do I do?
I had not been to his website, so when I returned to my office, off I went. What he said was true, he did have a number one SERP position, so he was doing a good job with his SEO, SEM and some Video Marketing, but he needs to take the next step.
Internet Marketing is a process where you have to go from the start to the finish line without any distractions. The formula of T * C = P does not tell the whole story. I will go deeper into the full formula in a different post.
He was getting Traffic from his SEO, but he failed to put a strong call to action at every step of the way. His site looks good, but it doesn’t make you want to do anything.
I will be interested to dig a little deeper into what his bounce rate is, how long visitors spend on his site, what do they do once they get there.
You must get them to the finish line, or your business will be finished.
